Safe Sport at R5 Play 🛡️

Relevant for: Athletes, Parents, Coaches, Event Staff

At R5 Play, safety is non-negotiable. Every person who participates in our programs — as an athlete, parent, coach, or volunteer — deserves a safe, respectful environment.

Coach Screening

• All coaches and staff undergo background checks before joining
• Coaches hold valid vulnerable sector clearances
• Mandatory Safe Sport certification required for all program leads

Code of Conduct

Everyone connected to R5 Play is expected to:

• Treat all participants with dignity and respect
• Use appropriate, encouraging language at all times
• Maintain professional boundaries
• Report concerns immediately — no exceptions

Reporting Concerns

1. Remove yourself or the athlete from the situation if safe to do so
2. Contact the R5 Play program director directly
3. For emergencies, call 911 first

Zero Tolerance

R5 Play has a zero tolerance policy for abuse, harassment, bullying, or discrimination. Violations result in immediate removal from the program. We stand by this, every time. ✊
