What to Expect at Brava FC
Here’s what practice looks like at Brava.
What Practice Looks Like
When your daughter joins Brava FC, she's stepping into an environment that's development-focused, team-oriented, and fun. Here's what a typical session looks like.
Warm-Up and Team Building
Every session starts with a warm-up that gets the girls moving, laughing, and connecting with their teammates. We believe team chemistry starts before the drills do.
Skill Development
The core of every session is focused on building soccer fundamentals and progressing skills. Depending on the session, your daughter will work on:
- Ball control and first touch
- Passing and receiving
- Dribbling and footwork
- Shooting and finishing
- Positioning and game awareness
- Defending and pressing
Small-Sided Games and Scrimmages
Every session includes game time. Small-sided games allow the girls to apply what they've learned in real match situations while getting as many touches on the ball as possible.
Our Coaching Philosophy
We believe in a no-pressure environment that's serious about growth. What does that mean?
- Mistakes are part of learning: We encourage girls to try new things without fear of getting it wrong
- Every player gets attention: Our coaches work with each girl individually, not just the most advanced players
- Effort matters most: We celebrate hard work and attitude just as much as goals and wins
- Long-term thinking: We're building players for the future, not just for today's session
Preparing for Competition
As our squad develops and the girls build chemistry, we'll begin transitioning into competitive play. This means matches against other teams, tournament participation, and the experience of competing as a unit. The girls who train together now will be the squad that competes together later.
