Game Day & Competitions
Here’s how game day and competitions work at Brava.
Building Toward Competitive Play
Brava FC isn't just a training program — we're building a competitive girls' squad. As our team develops, here's what to expect on the competitive side.
Our Competitive Vision
The long-term plan for Brava FC is to develop a team that competes together at progressively higher levels. We're building from the ground up:
- Foundation phase: Focus on skill development, team building, and learning the game
- Friendly matches: Organized scrimmages and friendlies against other local clubs
- Tournament play: Entry into local and regional tournaments as the squad gels
- League competition: As the team matures, participation in organized league play
What to Expect on Game Days
When we begin competitive play, here's what game days will look like:
- Arrive early: Players should arrive at least 20–30 minutes before kickoff for warm-up
- Team warm-up: Structured warm-up led by coaching staff
- Equal opportunities: Every player will get meaningful playing time — development comes first
- Positive sidelines: We ask parents and spectators to keep sideline behaviour encouraging and supportive
- Post-game: Brief team debrief to celebrate effort and discuss learning moments
Team Expectations
- Respect your teammates, opponents, referees, and coaches at all times
- Give your best effort every time you step on the field
- Support each other — win or lose, we're a team
- Have fun — that's what this is all about
