Outdoor league (DPHDL)

This is DPHDL — Peel Halton Development League. Grassroots LTPD district league, U8–U13. U8–U11 play a festival format (2 games per day). Separate girls and boys divisions. U8–U9 female divisions are Level 6. Clubs use player pools and can mix squads.

Season pattern: May through late August. No games on long weekends.

U8 (with U10) — Saturdays
May 30 · June 6, 13, 27 · July 11, 25 · August 8, 22

U9 (with U11) — Sundays
May 31 · June 7, 14, 28 · July 12, 26 · August 9, 23

8 festival days × 2 games = 16 games.

U8 / U9 format

  • 5v5
  • 2 × 20 minutes
  • Ball: size 3
  • Field: 25–30 m wide × 30–36 m long
  • Goals: 8 ft × 5 ft (2.44 × 1.52 m)
  • Touchline restart: pass-in / dribble-in (no throw-ins)
  • Goal-line restart: goal kicks / corner kicks (modified corner-kick rules for U9 and younger)
  • No offside
  • Retreat line: yes — half field
  • Subs: unlimited, any stoppage, with the referee’s permission
  • Match official: referee
  • Arrive 30 minutes before kickoff
  • Minimum to start: 4 players (15-minute grace)
  • Game-day max on the bench: 12 players

No scores and no standings at grassroots. This is a development league.

Please don’t post scores, wins, or losses, and don’t identify other players, teams, or clubs without written permission. Coaches and the club are responsible for parent posts. Discipline can include suspension, fines, or the team being withdrawn.

The uniform needs the club crest/logo. Shin guards and socks are mandatory.

No scheduling exemption dates for U8–U13.
