Game day at PHIGL
For U8/U9 PHIGL games you’re looking at 5v5 and 2 × 20 minutes.
What to expect
- Games fall on Fri / Sat / Sun across Peel–Halton venues (and sometimes interlock cities)
- Your team will share the exact venue and kickoff once the schedule is out
- Arrive when your coach or manager says — they know the building and warm-up plan
Who needs to be on the bench
- At least one registered team official in the technical area
- Rule of Two recommends two adults on the bench
- Max four team officials on the bench
- For non-ISL / non-Ontario Cup games, a Manager may run the bench (Handbook)
What to bring
- Kit as your team asks
- A labelled soccer ball — see ball size (U8–U9: size 3 or 4; practice size 4 is the usual ask)
- Water, shin guards, and anything else your team lists
Roster minimum for registration is players on the field + 2 (so for 5v5 that’s 7 registered players), plus a certified Head Coach and one other team official. Your manager handles game sheets and check-in.
