Weather & field closures
From the Team Official Handbook:
- Games are only cancelled in advance by PHSA for extreme weather or Town field closures
- For local weather (lightning, heavy rain, etc.), the referee at the field decides whether to play
- If you’re practicing and the airhorn sounds, leave the fields right away and get everyone into vehicles
- If the team wants to resume later, follow the Canada Soccer Lightning Policy (PDF) before returning
Your coach or manager will pass along cancellations when they hear them.
